Dreamnotes is made by Alcyonite. This policy describes how the app and this website handle information.

Dreams and recordings

Dreamnotes stores entry text, dates, titles, generated tags, audio recordings, and interpretation reference text on your device. It syncs journal data through your private CloudKit database in your Apple iCloud account. Alcyonite does not run a server that receives this journal content and cannot browse your private iCloud database. Sync depends on connectivity, iCloud availability, and storage space.

Speech and AI features

Dreamnotes uses Apple’s on-device speech recognition, Natural Language, and Foundation Models for transcription, search, titles, typo suggestions, tags, interpretations, and recaps. It does not send dream content to a third-party AI service. Original text remains unchanged unless you apply a suggested correction. Microphone and speech permissions are requested when needed; recordings remain available if transcription fails.

Purchases

Apple handles payments and subscriptions. Dreamnotes uses StoreKit transaction and entitlement information to unlock Plus. Alcyonite does not receive payment card details through the app.

Sharing, retention, and deletion

Journal entries remain until you delete them. Open a dream and choose its options menu to delete it and its recording. Deletions sync when iCloud is available. Export journal text from Settings, or share a selected dream from its options menu. Shared or exported copies must be deleted separately. Removing the app may leave journal data in iCloud; you can manage that data in your device’s iCloud storage settings.

Technical local copies or backups may remain subject to your device and iCloud backup settings. If you migrated from an earlier development version, recovery copies may also remain in the app’s local storage.

Analytics and tracking

The app includes no advertising SDKs or third-party analytics and does not track you across other companies’ apps or websites. Apple may process diagnostic, purchase, and service information under its own policies and your settings.

Support and this website

If you email us, we receive your email address and the information you include to respond to your request. Please avoid including private dream entries unless necessary. Cloudflare hosts this website and may process connection information, such as IP addresses, for delivery and security. This site has no advertising cookies or analytics scripts.
